SMOKEY   COTTAGE

This barn conversion project was to provide additional bedrooms and living space for the adjacent cottage, as well as a workshop space and conservatory.

The work included new roofing and slate-hanging of the exposed gable as well as extensive stone repair work.

Though apparently quite small from the outside the buildings contain two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living space, conservatory and a substantial workshop.

Lime mortars were used in all the stonework and the rooms have slate and oak floors with a creative lighting scheme.
